These non-permanent tattoos have been a part of my life since I received a beautiful henna tattoo as a young girl in my home town in Ontario. As I grew as an artist I soon rediscovered this unique and natural tattooing technique, and started learning and developing my own style of applying the ornate details.
I constantly had tubes of mehendi in my backpack as I traveled, I would spend days at a time in one village after another offering henna tattoos as I discovered the area and the community.
I took part in festivals as a henna tattoo artist and was happy to share my creations with everybody inspired by them.
HENNA TATTOOS
Henna- also called Mehndi, or Mehandi -is a form of body art that has existed for more than 5000 years. Henna paste is made from a mixture of the powdered leaves of the henna plant, a slightly-acidic liquid such as lemon juice, and essential oils. It is applied mostly from a tube in ornate patterns to temporarily stain skin.

Every one of my designs is unique. I adapt to the person I am tattooing, and create the design that comes to mind as I sit with them. It is an intuitive process that simply takes a steady hand and an ability to concentrate fully on the person infront of me. My fluid lines and harmonious designs often contain intricacies resembling elements of nature, but also leaving the door open for your imagination to embark.
